Anti-Hijack

With the advent of high-tech thieves becoming increasingly and more sophisticated the security technology has to evolve, this is why Ghost has created this subtle and non-obtrusive immobiliser. It's designed to stop thieves from using a brand new key or replacing the ECU in order to start your vehicle and then drive away. Ghost links up to your CAN data network, and utilizes the buttons within your vehicle (steering wheel, centre console and door panels) to create a unique push sequence which requires to be completed before the engine can be started.

Once the anti-hijacking mode is activated, any attempt to restart the engine will be stopped. The system will honk the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stop the vehicle if the code is not found. The Anti-Hijack feature is disabled by entering your push sequence, or by entering service mode that allows your vehicle to temporarily start and drive without needing to enter your PIN.

You can also see your vehicle in real time on a map displayed on your smartphone, which is ideal for tracking your car whilst moving around.

The Ghost can be positioned under the dashboard or in the centre console, it is completely secure and untouchable and does not require extra wiring. The device is connected to the vehicles CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personalised PIN code is embedded into it. This pin code has to be entered prior to the engine's start. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system using the cloned or replaced ECU.

If the vehicle is stolen, the Ghost will enter a service mode that disables all functions until the PIN code is entered or you can utilize the mobile app to disarm it. This feature was developed to protect you vehicle from thieves with high-tech equipment who utilize relay boxes to steal it. It also stops thieves from being able to use their mobile phones to activate your sat nav system or MP3 player to locate your vehicle!

Ghost can also stop the 'Relay Style Frequency Amplifier'. This is the most typical way a car is being stolen using a key fob that has been cloned or stolen by hacking. Ghost lets you stop this kind of theft by installing a device called Secure-A Key in your vehicle. The device is installed inside your vehicle's key-fob and removes the battery after a short period of inactivity. This can be done on most modern PKE key-fobs.
